Jeff Whitcomb named to Advisory Council

Jeff Whitcomb, president of Communicators Group, has been named to the advisory council of the Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities in Keene, NH. He will serve on the council’s development committee, which advises staff and trustees on matters relating to fundraising, public relations and communications, and community relations.

“As a father and a member of the community, I deeply admire the work that Cedarcrest does for developmentally challenged children,” said Whitcomb. “And as a marketing professional, it’s an honor to be able to give something back to such a wonderful institution.”

In 2007, Communicators Group created a new branding strategy for Cedarcrest. The name was changed from the generic “Cedarcrest” to Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities, to better reflect the mission and to give the center a more recognizable brand in the field. A warm, updated logo was also created, reflecting the center’s mission of care and education.

Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities provides long and short-term residential, medical and educational services for children with complex medical and developmental needs. The center also offers day education services, and is a community information and training resource for pediatricians, nurses, therapists, special educators, social workers and direct care givers.  Additional information is available at www.cedarcrest4kids.org.
