A leading conservation Web site gets revitalized
For more than 50 years, the Student Conservation Association (SCA) has given young people a way to give back to their environment. In recent years, the SCA has come to rely on their Web site as a focal point for recruiting and placing thousands of high school conservation work crews and college interns each year. So it’s essential that their site be clear, simple to navigate, and easy for SCA staff to update on the fly.
Working with our MarketShare partners at Lucidus, we created a site that makes space for all the information that visitors require without ever seeming overly dense. Our three-column home page design keeps key features organized and highlighted, with an intuitive, space saving Quick Links section containing four clickable sub-menus visitors can toggle through without leaving the home page. And with conservation news and SCA programs changing every day, this Drupal-based site is designed to let our clients easily update content themselves at any time.
Following the redesign, Web site useage has increased significantly, with users spending more time on the site than ever before–proof positive that smart design matters.
