The Brattleboro Retreat, one of the nation’s oldest and most renowned centers for the treatment of mental illness and addiction, has engaged the services of Communicators Group to create a new logo and branding for the institution.
The agency began the process by researching the history and legacy of the Brattleboro Retreat; meeting and interviewing stakeholders and sharing perceptions with executives, caregivers and community members. “It’s what we call our ‘Power Source’ branding process,” explains Communicators Group president Jeff Whitcomb. “It’s a very systemized way to zero in on the most effective messages for key constituencies.”
The new logo had a “soft launch” in early April as the Retreat introduced its new newsletter design and letterhead. A print and radio campaign launched in May. New campus signage will be erected later this year.
